This place has stories.

Chapter 1
A Gathering Place in Winifred
Winifred was incorporated in 1913, and for about as long as there's been a town, there's been somewhere to gather at the end of the day. The tavern's story reaches back through generations of local gathering places — including an original beer parlor that was lost to fire and rebuilt. The building you walk into today dates to around 1952.

Chapter 2
The Story Behind the Carr Bar
Ask anyone around here for directions to Winifred Tavern and they may just say, "You mean the Carr Bar?" The nickname comes straight from the Carr family name. It's a family name, a local nickname, and a big part of what makes this place feel like home.

Chapter 3 · The walls could tell stories
If these walls could talk...
Look up. Look around. Nearly every inch of wall and ceiling is covered in names — hunters in for the season, ranchers after a long day, travelers who found the end of the pavement, families marking a birthday, old friends coming home. Every signature is somebody who stopped, stayed a while, and left a little of themselves behind.

Chapter 4
The People Behind the Bar
A tavern is only as good as the folks running it. Behind this bar are the people who keep the beer cold, the grill hot, and the door open for everyone who walks through it.
Chapter 5
A Place for the Next Generation
The names on the walls keep coming. Kids who grew up here bring their own kids. Travelers come back with friends. The story isn't finished — and there's room on the wall for yours.
